WHO WE ARE

MIT Corporation (MITC) is an international trader, plant operator, and business services provider. Since 1998, we’ve grown our trade portfolio, streamlined plant operations, and enhanced our service offerings to better suit the ever-changing needs of the market.

Founded in Yangon, Myanmar – with an office presence in Dubai and Singapore, we focus on providing quality products and services to our global customers.

OUR FOUNDATION

HISTORY

  • 1998-2000

    Founded in 1998, MITC started as a rice trading company in Yangon, Myanmar. Within two years of operations, we expanded our scope to trade and process rice, beans/pulses, and spices to the local and international market.

  • 2000-2010

    In 2000, we began to offer business services to local and international companies interested in establishing and/or expanding their presence in Myanmar. In the same year, we began managing the operations of an oral care plant and produced Myanmar’s first local toothpaste brand. By 2005, the Fresh Up toothpaste brand became one of Myanmar’s most well-known locally produced brands.

  • 2010-Present

    Operating and servicing customers in this evolving market encouraged us to enhance our offerings. In the early 2010s, we expanded our trade portfolio to include fertilizers, sugar, corn, and wheat. In 2013, we partnered with an international marketing agency – Pastel Communications – to offer marketing-events services for organizations in Myanmar.
